Welcome to Boiler Breakdown Repair & Servicing

About me

I started in the Gas industry in 2002, I was a contractor to Transco Gas Utilities with Amec Utilities and Morrison Utilities. I have also worked in The Republic of Ireland for UNIGAS and have lots of experience with Gas appliances,

Being a Gas engineer is rewarding but can also be very demanding. I pray for cold weather during warm months, as this can be a real quiet period for gas engineers, The workload gets very heavy in the winter as you can imagine with burst pipes etc.

What you will get from me

Safety, honesty, reliability and quality of workmanship.

My qualifications

I am ACS qualified and Gas Safe Registered

My Gas Safe Register Number is 624005

Please see my Details on my Gas Safe Register Card Below. My apologies for the glum look but as with passport photos you are not permitted to smile,. A nice cup of tea on arrival will make us smile ;)

My aim is to get to you as fast as possible.

Get your appliances working quickly on the first visit if the situation permits.

There may be times the repair is more involved and we might need to reschedule depending on the severity of the fault.

At this point I would not charge you and give you advice on your options and a general idea of cost.

If you are happy and wish to proceed with the repair then we could rescheduled the visit at the earliest convenient date and time for you.

I am an advocate for safety

Carbon Monoxide also know as CO

Carbon Monoxide is extremely dangerous and can cause brain damage and even Death, it is a dangerous odourless invisible Gas caused by the products of incomplete combustion from faulty appliances.

CO Alarm - A good second line of defence

CO alarms can be purchased from many major retail outlets including DIY shops and supermarkets. We do not recommend the use of 'black spot detector' warning strips - they are too easy to miss and won't alert you if you have a CO leak when you're asleep, it is best to get one with an audible alarm for your safety to give you an early warning.

Installing and siting of CO Alarm

It’s advisable to fit an alarm in every room with a gas appliance, and when installing and siting the alarm make sure you refer to the manufacturer’s instructions, as this will inform you where best to place it. Try to avoid draughty locations, check your manufacturer's instructions or you could possibly find them online, otherwise find a Gas Safe Registered engineer who will be able to assist you with this. Typically, audible CO alarms have a battery life of up to 5 years. If you’re unsure which alarm to get, you can ask us for advice or to install one for you.

Don’t leave it to chance – unchecked appliances could pose a risk to you and your family.

It's the Law if you are a Landlord
All gas appliances in your property need to be safety checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer annually and serviced according to manufacturer’s instructions. Any appliance left unchecked could leave you at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning or Gas leaks. It’s an extremely good idea to have your gas pipework inspected at the same time as having a gas safety check, every year – and it’s law if you’re a landlord.
